I found this postcard in my grandmother’s old photo album. It’s dated July 1945. Her nickname when she was younger was Dottie. It was sent from my grandfather Paul to his mother-in-law. It reads,
“Dear Mrs. Brown,
This is coming to you from 102 stories up, atop the Empire State Building. The air is very fresh up here and the girls are fresher. I’m glad I’m with Dottie.
